We completed the total synthesis of tetrodotoxin--a nanomolar sodium channel inhibitor and a developing non-additive anagesic drug -- in just 16 steps! Thanks to a great collobration with Ye Lab (https://ye.lab.westlake.edu.cn/), the whole project was completed in merely 1.5 years! The experiments were conducted by only two graduate students. Chen Peng, a 4th year student in our lab completed the chemical synthesis part almost by himself, while Weilin Wu, a 3rd year student in Ye lab and a formal research assistant in our group, finished the biocatalysis section. Congratulations to the team!

We completed the total synthesis of glycinoeclepin A--a picamolar hatching factor of soybean cyst nematode-- in just 15 steps! Congratulations to Kang and the team!

Our research assitant Ms. Yanjie Li is admitted to the School of Pharmacy, University of Wisconsin-Madison for her PhD. Cogratulations!

Mr. Chao Lin, our formal research assistant, will be pursuing PhD in our lab, while Mr. Tao Zhu, a current research assistant in our lab will join Prof. Li Deng's lab for graduate research.

We completed the total synthesis of scabrolide A and havellockate. The paper is now online. https://pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/jacs.4c03995. Congratulations to Chen Peng! We have prepared a special gift for Chen, the carry of his DOTA league and our total synthesis team!
